Reception & KS1 had their disco 3.15-4.15pm...
...danced their hearts out...

Major Mustard & a different version of 'Cinderella'
Major Mustard entertained us this Christmas with his Traditional version of Cinderella...
...using puppets and a great set!
It was great fun and the children loved it! Thank you so much to Parents and Friends for organising it all!

Z O O L A B
'Zoolab' came in to tell us all about different animals
We found out all about their bodies and how/why they live as they do!
Some animals were not as bad as we thought!
And some we couldn't touch!

ARTISTIC WINNER!
Some children spent their Summer Holidays painting for the Junior Painter of the Year competition, with Sightsavers UK and the Royal Academy of Arts. Rosie, from Yr2, was Runner-up in the Infants' section, meaning she was in the top 40 of 15000 entries! Her work is being displayed at the Royal Academy of Arts in London with the other winners from 24 Oct-18 Nov - what an honour! Many congratulations to Rosie! This is her winning piece of art - 'How I See Myself':

TALENT SHOW APRIL 2009
Katie set the show going with a fab dance routine that had everyone clapping!

We have a piano maestro in our mist (look out Mr George...)
A chicken came to sing & dance for us!!!

'Mercy' wasn't needed when Millie outshone Duffy!
Breakdancing was fantastic!
We had some magic with Oscar the Great...

For talent day, children also did some great art & craft work (on display in the Year 4 corridor)
RED NOSE DAY
: PYJAMA WEARING!
For Red Nose Day - we wore our pyjamas, slippers & dressing gowns!
It was weird being in school...ready for bed!
Everyone joined in...
Some looked stupider than others (but thanks to the sponsorship - Mr A did raise another £180 for Comic relief...so it was worth while!)
We chilled all day...
ROCKLANDS- the school choir
The school choir went to the Rocklands to support the Primrose Choir...
...to help the charity, Primrose Hospice. Mrs Hadley was the director of the event.
Mr George played great, as usual.
The Nativity Tableau provided by the choir!
The children sang beautifully, were so well behaved...
...and were great ambassadors for the school (particularly the 'Partridge' in the pear tree!)
Yr2s-Competition winners!
The school was invitied to take part in the Kingsley College's 'Voices & Visions', producing artwork based on Kandinsky. The work was displayed for 2 weeks and given special recognition!
Textile work by Yr2 won a competition after being displayed at Forge Mill!
Mrs Morris & Mrs Rea collected the certificate & £100 of vouchers!
Congratulations to our budding artists in Yr2!
